MADISONS

Jakson TN

The band was active in the West Tennessee area from 1963-1968. Like most bands they did a lot of cover bands, but unlike most bands theyalso did a lot of original music that Jim Davis wrote and produced. They were mentored by the legendary rockabilly guitarist and record producer Roland Janes of Memphis, TN. their one and only 45 rpm was released in the summer of 1968 as Jim was on his way to USAF basic training in San Antonio, TX. Jim still has several copies of the 45 rpm record and also digital copies of the taped tracks from Roland's Sonic Recording studios.

While the military, school, work and family took precedence over music for the next 50 years, Jim never stopped writing songs and playing music. In 2018 he jumped back into it, spent hours listening to 40 years of audio tape; saving the best of the Madisons and converting everything to digital format. From 2020-2022 four of his songs have hit the New Music Weekly Country Charts. Jim now has over 12,000 fans, 500,000 streams, and 5,000,000 Youtube views. Some of the songs that hit the charts were originally written in the mid-70s.

At 74 Jim is having a ball writing and recording and mixing my music and occasionally playing with local bands in Los Angeles and Tennessee. While his reach was 100 miles around Jackson, TN in the old days, his reach now is the entire United States due to streaming audio and video platforms and radio promotions by Loggins Promotion out of Nashville.
