Deep Six was formed by Maurice "Mouse" Samples (Mouse and the Boys and Brass), Larry Dreggors, Billy Harden and Ken Fuller (WAPE disc jockey). The band had a 45 RPM record that received air time on WAPE, the Big Ape radio station titled "Last Time Around".
Deep Six also recorded I Don't Wanna Cry, originally done by Chuck Jackson. This one got a lot of air play on WAPE in 1966-67.
