From the tiny town of
Chester, GA, The Lee Jessup Band began receiving widespread attention
in the mid 1970's and was then associated with the burgeoning Outlaw
movement in country music. Much like his heroes Johnny Cash and
Waylon Jennings, Lee did things his way, and his songs of life and love
resonated with thousands of people all across the country.
Lee and his band recorded 3 LP's, now on CD and regarded as classics of
outlaw country rock, played everywhere, shows big and small, including
the White House in Washington DC in August of 1980. People from
all over the South still flock to Lee's appearances and each concert is
a special and intimate experience.
